SPICY SAUSAGE POSOLE
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb. ground pork sausage
- 1 tablespoon Palo Alto Firefighters Hot Pepper Sauce or Palo Alto XX
- 2 cans (14 oz) fire-roasted tomatoes with garlic
- 12 oz. water
- 2½ cups white hominy
- ½ cup packed fresh cilantro
- sour cream and tortilla chips for topping
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cook the sausage in a large pot with the Palo Alto Firefighters Hot Pepper Sauce or Palo Alto XXg. Drain well.
- Return to pot and add tomatoes, water, and hominy. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Add cilantro just before serving. Top with sour cream and tortilla chips!
