ANCHO CHILE APPLESAUCE
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon Dave’s Ancho Powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/2 cup of water
1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Hot Pepper Sea Salt
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
Instructions:
Place the apples, Dave’s Ancho Powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, lemon zest and water in a pot, and cook on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally.
After about half an hour, the apples should be cooked down to almost mush. Stir in the sugars, vanilla, Cayenne Hot Pepper Sea Salt and cook on low for five minutes.
