Product Description
Blind Betty’s Blind in the Rind hot sauce is a perfect blend of sweet and mild heat. And we at Peppers of Key West are not the only ones who think so. Blind in the Rind is the second of Betty’s sauces to win a Scovie award! Congratulations, Betty!
Collectors will want this funny and crazy label to take center stage in their collections. There aren’t too many labels, outside of Betty’s of course, that feature alligators lugging around large fruits and vegetables. Even if you don’t like Caribbean food, this one will be a standout on your shelf of pain!
For some reason, all the ingredients and colors of Blind in the Rind remind me of Fantasy Fest, a festival that happens every October here in Key West. Fantasy Fest is just one more reason that tourists have to flock to our island paradise and one more reason the locals have to pour a margarita! If you haven’t experienced it, you have to come down here at least once in your life.
For an entire week, the island is taken over by pet parades, balls, costume parties, and a massive parade with floats. Lately it has attracted more than 100,000 people at a time, and I can tell you that with so many people, Key West is bursting at the seams. The more the merrier, as far as we’re concerned! I could’ve sworn I saw the Conch King and Queen drinking Blind in the Rind directly from the bottle last year! But maybe that was the alcohol talking!
Anyway, use Blind Betty’s Blind in the Rind sauce on fish tacos, chicken wings, and baked white fish and bring out the best in your food. Or how about trying this as an addition to a rum runner cocktail? Mmmm!
Betty’s Blind in the Rind sauce is packed to the brim with sassy, sweet Caribbean goodness. Oranges and lemons combine with habanero and red bell peppers for the ultimate citrusy party in your mouth. This sauce is 100% sunshine in a bottle!
