Product Description
Blind Betty’s Original Hot Sauce has won both the Fiery Food Challenge and the Scovie awards. All of the products in the Blind Betty line are legitimate island fare. They are headquartered in the Virgin Islands and have made quite a name for themselves as purveyors of fine hot sauce. Even though St. John’s isn’t the most convenient place to start a business from, Betty has done it and been wildly successful to boot.
When you’re looking for an authentic island sauce that has a unique twist, take Blind Betty’s Original Hot Sauce for a spin. This is one of the few sauces we carry at Peppers of Key West that contains pumpkin, and while subtle, it combines well with the sauce’s other hot and fruity ingredients: apple juice, tomato juice, carrot, onion, habanero pepper, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice along with spices for real Caribbean flair.
If you’ve been able to sample the wide and luscious array of flavors that Carribean cuisine has to offer, I don’t need to tell you how wonderful it is. If you haven’t, Blind Betty’s Original Hot Sauce is a good way to get acquainted. Whether added to sauces, soups, stir-frys, salsas, or used to zip up a marinade, Blind Betty is a locals favorite where I come from. This sauce is a great accompaniment for coconut shrimp and hearty Caribbean ribs. The last time I used this sauce, it was as an ingredient in fresh bouillabaisse soup, and I would never make it again without Blind Betty- it was that good.
If you look at the label of Blind Betty’s Original Hot Sauce, you might think that Blind Betty is an alligator with a fruit hat who loves to dance with peppers. Well, maybe she is, but either way, she knows her sauce. Blind Betty’s Hot Caribbean Concoctions sauces are not to be missed- try them all from Peppers of Key West!
