Smokehouse Bacon Cheese Grits

Ingredients:

  • Cooked quick grits – 4 servings
  • 4 ounces pasteurized processed cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 6 slices peppered bacon, cooked until crisp, drained and chopped fine
  • 6 green onions, chopped, including green tops
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup Fischer & Wieser Smokehouse Bacon & Chipotle Grilling Sauce

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350° F. Lightly butter a 9″ x 13″ baking dish; set aside. Cook the grits according to package directions. Remove from heat and quickly whisk in the cheese, chopped bacon and green onions until cheese is melted and well blended. Whisk in the beaten egg and Fischer & Wieser Smokehouse Bacon & Chipotle Grilling Sauce. Turn mixture out into prepared baking dish and bake in preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until top is lightly browned and grits are set. Serve hot. Serves 4.
