Product Description
Melinda’s Mango Habanero Sauce is a delectable mix of mangoes, carrots, and red habanero peppers with a hint of tomato paste. People often think that if a sauce contains habanero, it must be hot. That’s not necessarily true, it’s always a matter of the recipe. And there are a lot of factors that go into making a hot sauce taste hot.
This Melinda’s recipe happens to be one where the habanero adds a zing of spice rather than an overwhelming blast. While it may not please you if you’re a hard-core chili head (unless you’re a collector then it’s a must), this sauce is about more than just peppers. And just so you know, the carrots are there more to balance out the sweetness of the mango- this is not a carroty sauce!
If you’re an adventurous baker, blend in a couple in teaspoons of Melinda’s Mango Habanero Sauce to your next batch of ginger snap cookies or into your favorite cupcake recipe. Your experiment is sure to please both adults and kids!
Our resident hot sauce wimp here at Peppers (I’m not naming any names) swears by this sauce on any kind of fish, using it on grilled salmon is her absolute favorite.
Personally, I like to mix this sauce with cream cheese and spread on a bagel for breakfast. Yes, I like to eat hot sauce even at breakfast!
For a quick flavor injection at lunchtime, shake this sauce on tuna or lobster salad, or use it to pep up any kind of fruit salsa. Please your guests or family members with chicken, pineapple, and Vidalia onion kebabs, or use it as a unique glaze for spiral-cut ham.
Melinda is well known for balancing all natural ingredients with just the right amount of heat, and her Mango Habanero Hot sauce is no exception! Try it!
