Product Description
Mick’s Original Key West CaribeBeans, like so many of the snacks we sell here at Peppers of Key West, do not hang around for long once they_ve been opened! I_m a pushover for pickles of any kind, and when I found out that Mick_s line of pickled treats was created by Key Westian Mick Kilgos, the decision to stock them in the store was a no-brainer.
Mick Kilgos may be the only expert Cajun cook/drummer who lives in Key West. He is certainly the only one with his own line of beans! Either way, Key West is proud to have Mick back on the island after a four-year stint in the San Francisco Bay Area. And Peppers of Key West is proud that his pickled green beans never left our store!
If you’ve never had a chance to try pickled green beans, you’re in for a treat. Caribe Beans are tangy and crunchy, not at all like a run of the mill soft and mushy pickled vegetable. Garnish your Bloody Mary, add a unique twist to the same ol’ olive in your dirty martini, or eat them straight from the jar while watching your favorite TV show for a healthy snack. Do you eat pickles with your hot dogs and burgers? Of course you do! Try dicing tomatoes and onions, chopping up some Mick_s Caribe Beans, and adding the whole mixture to your next dog_a Chicago classic with a twist!
And really, what_s not to love here? Green beans get the royal treatment when pickled along with bell peppers and red peppers in a bath of vinegar, garlic, mustard seed, and dill weed. This is seriously pickle heaven!
So support a local culinary genius and pick up a jar of Mick’s Original Key West Caribe Beans. Use them in place of those fluorescent green supermarket dills that have been assaulting your palate for years, and wake up your taste buds to a healthy gourmet treat!
